Why use lithium batteries to replace lead-acid batteries.

In the past, most of our electric tool equipment used lead-acid batteries, but with the development and iteration of technology, lithium batteries have gradually become the equipment for electric tool equipment today. Even many devices that previously used lead-acid batteries have begun to use lithium batteries to replace lead-acid batteries. Why replace lead-acid batteries with lithium batteries?

This is because current lithium batteries have more obvious advantages compared to traditional lead-acid batteries:


Under the same battery capacity specifications, lithium batteries have a smaller volume, approximately 40% smaller than lead-acid batteries. This can reduce the size of the tools, increase the load-bearing capacity of the machinery, or increase the amount of batteries to increase storage capacity. Currently, with the same capacity and size of lithium-ion lead-acid batteries, the temporary volume of the cells in the battery box is only about 60%, which means there is still about 40% empty;


Under the same storage conditions, the storage life of lithium batteries is longer, about 3-8 times that of lead-acid batteries. The storage time for new lead-acid batteries is generally around March, while lithium batteries can be stored for 1-2 years. The storage time for traditional lead-acid batteries is much longer than that of current lithium batteries;


Under the same battery capacity specifications, lithium batteries are lighter, about 40% lighter than lead-acid batteries. In this way, electric tools are more lightweight, the weight of mechanical equipment is reduced, and its power is increased;


In the same battery usage environment, the number of charging and discharging cycles of lithium batteries is about 10 times that of lead-acid batteries. Generally speaking, the cycle times of traditional lead-acid batteries are about 500-1000 times, while the cycle times of lithium batteries can reach about 6000 times, which means that one lithium battery is equivalent to 10 lead-acid batteries.


Although lithium batteries are slightly more expensive compared to Lead-acid to Lithium Battery, there are advantages and reasons why more people will use lithium instead of lead batteries. So if you understand the advantages of lithium batteries over traditional lead-acid batteries, would you use lithium batteries to replace old lead-acid batteries?
